In the 1600s,
the people of London lurched from catastrophe to catastrophe: religious strife,
a bitter Civil War, recurring plague and the Great Fire that would ultimately
lay waste to four fifths of the City. Big Smoke takes you on a walk around
the City of London in a 'World Turned Upside-Down'.
Walk lasts: about 2 1/2 hours – stopping in genuine 17th-century pubs along the way.
